What type of information we have
Ideas Exchange currently collects and process the following information:
Email Address: Through the sign-up process
Videos of the global debates: These debates are broadcast in various social networks, wherein the personal image of the participants is shared
How we get the information and why we do we have it
Ideas Exchange collects the personal information you provide during the sign-up process. This information is used to follow up on the sales process and so you have a direct contact with Ideas Exchange in case you need to contact us for any reason.
We also collect videos of the debates so they can be broadcast in different online platforms so interested members of the community can have the benefit of the debates in case they can´t attend themselves or for people who may be interested in attending future debates. These videos are used for proportion purposes as well.
You will be advised about our data collection before the debates and you have the right to withdraw consent by informing us directly through the provided email about your wish for anonymity.
What we do with the information
We do not share or sell your information in any way to any company or organization.
The use of your information is limited to keeping you up to date about future debates on the Ideas Exchange Community, to contacting you to coordinate your access to debates and broadcasting the debates on online platforms, so that all members of the Community may participate in the debates.
How we store your information
We safely store your information in third-party services such as Mail Chimp and spreadsheets only accessible to IE personnel. The videos of the debates are stored on social media platforms and are compliant with their respective privacy policies.
Your data protection rights
You have the right not to share your personal information with us and/or not give your consent to broadcast the debate you are participating in. Please note, if you withdraw your consent, we will be unable to contact you and/or provide access to the broadcast debates. While our servers are not located in the European Union and most debate participants are non-EU residents, we strive to be compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to the maximum extent possible. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time before participating in the debates. You can do this by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org
(b) We have a legal obligation to provide you with the debate service, which in turn relies on your consent to sharing your personal information.
